Miller led the Rangers to victory over the Phillies

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Brad Miller hit two runings in the 10th inning and secured the Texas Rangers a 2: 1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night.

Marcus Semien doubled and recorded two hits for the Rangers, who won four consecutive season highs after sweeping a series of two Phillies games.

Nick Castellanos doubled and had three hits for Philadelphia. The Phillies have lost four of their five wins in a row.

Philadelphia's Zack Wheeler and Rangers' Martin Perez are both stars in the opening roles. Matt Bush (1-1) was crowned victorious after reaching the final from ninth place.

Texas Adolis Garcia started the extra frame at the second base and finished third in the Kole Calhoun drop-down menu deep to the right. After Mitch Garver left, second rider Eli White stole it.

Top striker Nick Solak scored before Miller drafted 1-0 from Brad Hand (1: 1) to the right to score for Garcia and White.

"He's so serious and good that you know there's going to be something to get him out," Rangers manager Chris Woodward said of Miller.
