Synopsis/Plot
Go Eun-byul and Lee Eun-bi are identical twins who were born apart. Eun-bi is a resident of House of Love, an orphanage in Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang Province, where the younger inmates see her as a mother figure. She conceals the fact that she is bullied at school by a gang of nasty girls lead by Kang So-young, while teachers remain silent.
Go Eun-byul, on the other hand, is the most popular girl at Sekang High School, Seoul’s most prominent private high school in the Gangnam District. Cha Song-joo and Lee Shi-jin are Eun-byul’s best friends, and she has a crush on Han Yi An, the school’s outstanding swimmer. They had been buddies since they were children.
Eun-bi and Eun-byul are identical in appearance, but only Eun-byul is aware of the other’s existence. Eun-byul, in contrast to the smiling Eun-bi, is prickly and secretive.
Eun-byul inexplicably disappears one day while on a school field trip to Tongyeong. Simultaneously, Eun-bi is wrongfully dismissed from school and attempts suicide by jumping off a bridge. Ten days later, the injured and amnesiac Eun-bi is misidentified as her twin Eun-byul, and the latter’s adoptive mother transports her to Seoul, where she begins living as Eun-byul.
Secrets are disclosed later on when Eun Bi realises she isn’t Eun Byul after regaining her memories, but it is then discovered that “Eun Bi’s” body was discovered at the location of Eun Bi’s “suicide.” When she tries to prevent Eun Bi from drowning, Eun Bi believes it was Eun Byul who died in her place. As Eun Bi is now ‘dead,’ she begins to live as Eun Byul.
Soon after, Kang So-Young attends the school and discovers that Eun Bi is as intimidating as Eun Byul. She tries to make Eun Bi’s life miserable again by threatening her with this fact, but Eun Bi has changed and she learns to stand up for herself. Gong Tae Kwang, who develops feelings for Eun Bi, discovers her identity and supports and protects her from Kang So-Young.
Kang So Young texts Han Yi An as he prepares for a swim meet, threatening him that she will reveal Eun Bi’s true identity. Yi An becomes concerned about Eun Bi and rushes to school, missing the Swim Meet.
He was in an accident and injured his right shoulder, yet he still made it to class on time. He collapses as a result of the entire affair.
When Eun Bi and Go Eun Byul’s adoptive mother was at home preparing for the transfer from Sekang High School, the actual Eun Byul knocked on the door and revealed that she had been looking over Eun Bi for a while and observed how difficult Eun Bi’s life was. So Eun Byul decided it was time to trade lifestyles for a bit.
Eun Byul goes back to school and makes Kang So Young’s life hard as Eun Byul is unhappy with So Young bullying Eun Bi back in Tongyeong.
